Graduation Time?

It has been a few days since I have last written, things have been busy. I am excited about this weekend ? I will be leaving Friday morning to visit my brother Glenn in Virginia. Zach, Mom and I are all going up there together, plus we will be staying with her father there. I have not spent much time with my grandfather and look forward it. Glenn, which is my half-brother, has lived with his father for many years now. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to spend much time with him over the years. I still can?t believe he is finished with highschool..heck it just seems like the other year I was just graduating!

I remember when you were in school ? you were counting the days until you were out of there?now I catch myself sometimes wishing I could do it all over again. I know, we probably all think like that at times?but it is like I left all my classmates a few days after graduation because I moved to California?and have never seen them again. It won?t be long until the 10th year reunion?.well a couple of years anyway (thank goodness)

I had some work done on the Saab and it?s running much better now?looks like it will be a project that gets a little done each month. I am hunting for a new headliner for it now. I am sure it is going to be fun pulling that sunroof out to put the liner in?I will see.
Once again I try to start a journal and go a few days without updating! I have spent the last few days in Knoxville taking some training. I love that city! Now don't get me wrong, I like the small city life also. There just really isn't that much stuff to do here in the big city of Kingsport! I keep myself pretty busy though..so I don't really have much tine to think about what there isn't here to do. I'm glad the warmer weather is upon us here?I hope to spend a little time camping this summer! Heck, I have a new tent hat I bought last year that has only been used once or twice. The one nice thing about t living in this area of the US is the mountains. There are several spots in this area that are just wonderful to hike. I hope I'll be able to get out and enjoy some of it before the heat sets in this summer. I'm not sure how much free time I'll have in the next few weeks, I foresee a little overtime being a possibility.

I did find a place to fix the oil leak that I have on my old Saab. I have been trying to find a place to work on it. I ran across this guy the other day that had an 89 and he suggested that I stop by and see this guy. I was thrilled to death when he even had the sunroof switch that I had been looking for?so now the sunroof is working again. Heck. It's summertime?better use it while I can. This guy did have a '92 Saab 900 convertible that I fell in love with, I had better take it easy though?.I have to sell the '87 Formula before I can think of doing anything else?LOL
Well I'm getting ready to head to Knoxville this weekend for my Life Insurance training. I still amaze myself that I can't just sit and relax?I always have to be pursuing something. I'm excited about the opportunity that I have with Primerica. I'm going to be extremely busy at Eastman for the next few months as we roll out the new Dells to my support areas. It is going to be a long job for all of us there. I'm sure this summer will go by pretty fast though. I am looking forward to going to see my brother Glenn in a few weeks. I still can't believe that he is graduating from High School?.it has made me realize how fast time can really pass. I hope that Glenn and I can grow closer; unfortunately I have not spent much time with him. Glenn lives in Virginia with his father. I really have no excuse why I have not been closer to him, but only hope that I can start now and create a missing friendship. It only takes a split second for something to happen and then you never have that chance to mend things.

Well I thought I would take the effort to start this online journal. I'm sure I won't get a chance to contribute daily..heck, my life is not that interesting to write about each day! I figured this would be a good way to let my friends know what is going on in my life and that I'm still alive. I have been accused of not keeping in touch. This past weekend I got to visit family a little and mess around with the new "old" car that I got while down in Key Largo the other week. It's an '85 Saab SPG. It's a blast to drive?handles like a little go-cart. It does need a lot of interior work and I plan on that being my summer project. Now don't get me wrong - I already have plenty to do with work and my part-time job with Primerica. Heck, I just can't seem to sit still for long.
